Dolores O'Riordan

Music babes always score very high with me. Delores O'Riordan, lead singer of the band 'The Cranberries' has captured my attention the moment I first heard the song, 'Linger'. I'm a sucker for exotic accents, so Delores being Irish, doesn't even have to sing. All she has to do is say something, anything and I would melt right there.

Delores has been singing since she was 3 years old. She was fated to make singing her career, and fate does act in mysterious ways. While Delores was looking for a band, the band was also looking for a lead. The band knew that she was something special the moment she sang for the 1990 audition.

Delores is a tremendously gifted singer. Her voice is what has truly defines The Cranberries sound. With the right hint of vibrato, and the voice of an angel, Delores expresses deep felt emotion in sensitive pieces like 'Ode To My Family' and maternal evolution in 'Animal Instinct'. She can more than rock it up during songs like 'Salvation', and 'Zombie'. She also plays backup guitar, writes many of the music/lyrics and has even directed some of the music videos.

A woman looking good in a short haircut is also a rare treasure to be found. Most women I have met who can sport a short hair have always been tremendously beautiful. Delores' style is very much all her own. Various transformations have occured during her personal evolution from single rock chick to maternal mother to carefree womanhood. She is still one sexy babe no matter the look, and no matter her hair color.

The cranberries made music for peace, and with the recent disarming of the Irish Republican Army (IRA), it's certainly respect due to mention the artists the fought for peace the best way they knew how to. Here's hoping that Delores and The Cranberries will keep on rocking!
