Nobody can sport a short hair style like my girl Gigi Leung. And I'm a sucker for good looking babes in short hair style! Like I mentioned before, not too many ladies can look good with short hair, and not too many can look good without makeup. Gigi beats the crowd in both categories!

Most HK idols are workholics and Gigi is no different. She has starred in numerous movies, released many albums (both mandarin and cantonese), and toured many concerts. To be fair, I would rate Gigi only as a fair actress. Her prescence on the screen is undeniable, but she may not always be picky about the scripts, roles and character that she plays. To date, I don't remember one character or movie in particular that I can call an unforgettable performance. I would love to see Gigi in more non-commercial movies, and perhaps in some independent films.

But Gigi more than makes up with her musical talents. This is where she really exhibits her control over the songs she sing. The songs are genre are very much within her personality and talent. Hers is a smooth, soft angelic voice that carries emotion and sensitivity; much like her real-life persona. I have many favourties from Gigi, and I'm always willing to listen to more of her new songs/abums. Rarely am I dissappointed.

To describe Gigi's looks, she is fresh, pretty, demure, unpretentious and natural with a slim atheltic look. To many asian men, she fondly conjures up the image of the perfect high school girl friend with her pure innocense look. Many people looking for a fuller body have shunned her for that reason, but I find that her look fits her best than one that is more voluptous.. I really wouldn't change a thing there. Those big round, almost anime-like, eyes capture you in their gaze, and her smiles draw your in. You find yourself trapped.

I would recommend for the uninitiated to listen to some of her music first (though you would have to know the language to appreciate more of it). Personally, I do not think Gigi has the appeal that would allow her to cross international borders. But her influence among all Asia is certainly a testament to this babe's shining qualities.

Jennie Garth

Jennie Garth is a compelling example of Mid-Western beauty, having been born and raised on family's 25-acre horse farm in Urbana, Illinois. However, she's most known for playing a California girl, Kelly Taylor, on the teen-hit series Beverly Hills 90210.

I've mentioned before that I'm a sucker for accents. Leah Remini's Brooklyn raised accent certainly gets me on attention everytime she speaks. I first saw Leah with her role in the teen series 'Saved By The Bell'. I've also seen her in several cameos, such as 'Friends'. But currently she is the leading lady of the TV sitcom series 'King Of Queens' alongside Kevin James and Jerry Stiller. Leah is arguably one of the sexiest housewife in sitcom history!

Visiting her website, you can find in her own words, her stories of a struggling young actress auditioning for roles. Only to be told that she had to lose weight to get the job. Leah is not considered the model type. But she does no doubt excude much sensuality because of her confidence. Being raised in Brooklyn will do that to you.

Everytime I've seen her, the voice has been what attracted to me. But Leah has blossomed from a plain jane type-casted actor to one who is approached to pose for Men's magazines and garnering much attention for her beauty and physique. Nobody I know can make plain clothes look so good/sexy on television!

Her sexiness comes from being a beautiful tight little package with attitude. She's quite unique in terms of being able to break barriers of the stereo-typical feminine woman. I initially hesistated to write about Jessica, because she is simply too hot right now. Too much publicity, too much Jessica in the media. What could I possibly add to make a difference? Then I sobered up and slapped myself. The tribute had to be made! So let me jump on the bandwagon, although I was already there before the bandwagon even started. I also wanted to help publicize her talents to conincide with the DVD release of SinCity!

I watched Jessica grow up, from a petite cute girl to become, in a short time, a beautiful sexy woman who by the way, filled out very nicely. My first silver screen encounter with Jessica was in 1999 when Jessica played the cute delicious Molly in 'Idle Hands'. I remembered the only reason why I wanted to see the movie was discovering her in the movie's trailer.

I wanted to find out who she was. Miss Alba had some forgettable movie starts, and 1999 was her break-through year. She started appearing on magazines, both men's and women's. In 2000, she was casted to lead her own TV series, 'Dark Angel', where she played the kick-butt beauty Max. The 'Dark Angel' series was extremely popular and generated a cult following. Jessica Alba had become a household name.

After the 'Dark Angel' series ended, she starred in a few independent movies, but came back in a strong way to mainstream media by starring in the highly stylized movie, Frank Miller's 'Sin City'. Jessica played Nancy Callahan, the skinny little girl who "grew up, filled out" *how appropriate* to become the stripper with the heart of gold. Jessica being very modest, decided to not play the role topless/nude out of respect for her father and family. Let's add daddy's little girl to her list of babe worthy traits.

The attention on Jessica has since been non-stop, and she has another hit on hand starring as Sue Storm, the Fantastic Girl in the successful movie adaptation of the comic The Fantastic Four. I guess playing hero and comic book characters really fits Jessica - from Max to Nancy to Sue Storm. Anybody have any suggestions of which comic book character she should play?

Nanako Matsushima (松嶋菜々子 )

Here's another hidden gem that the western world has yet to discover! Nanako Matsushima may be familiar to fans of Japanese horror films. She was the reporter in Ringu, the Japanese title for 'The Ring' series of horror films. She is much more appreciated in the East for her other acting roles in many different movies and TV drama series.

I've seen the Ring but not knowing who she was at the time. Nanako caught my eye when I watched the popular TV darama (dorama in Japanese), Yamato Nadeshiko. The title translated means "Perfect Woman". Nanako really showed her pefection and acting talents playing a Jinno Sakuroko - a girl who grew up poor, and thus is so determined to marry rich that comedy ensues. As well Sakuroko discover on her way who is her real true love.

Like many Japanese stars, Nanako started her career as a model, campaign girl. She was noticed for mere looks and along the way showcased her range of talents to become a revered actress. Her most memorable roles have been in the Ringu series and also in the above mentioned 'Yamato Nadeshiko'.

Considered by many in Japan to be a natural beauty, Nanako is a highly sought-after spokeswoman behind many major products, from beverages, cellphones, insurance, pharmaceutical companies and also include being the MaxFactor girl for Japan. She carries with her a subtle grace and class, but remains approachable and lovable.

Nanako exemplifies the typical facial features of the Japanese beauty. Armed with a killer smile and kind eyes, many asian men have fallen for this sultry starlet, believing that she would make the perfect wife. Once in a while, I like to sit back and watch a new babe rise to fame. I'd like to introduce the world to Taryn Manning. You may not have heard of her, but she's showing up on radars everywhere. Open a men's magazine, you might find her picture and not know who she is. Now, I'm not the person that follows the crowd. I like to judge for myself. In fact, she only caught my eye after I recently watched her performance in the MTV movie, Hustle & Flow.

Uusually, I'd rate MTV movies badly, but Hustle & Flow brought a realness, and dared to go where some movies have not been able to explore. Taryn's acting was the real stand out of the movie. She really caught the eyes of the audience, not only by her looks, but through her portray of a street-wise prostitute, wishing for a new role in life, but would rather take orders than taking charge.

Taryn's childhood was as a dancer, but turned to acting when she was 16. She was in an acting class that boasted classmates like Kirsten Dunst, Leelee Sobieski, Erika Christensen. She is an entertainment "triple threat", being able to dance, act and sing. Yes! She plays in the band Boomkat with her brother Kellin. Their music is described as "mixed with pop and trip-hop, really electronica based, with a little R&B flavour on the vocals".

However, she's mostly known for her acting talents. Before Hustle & Flow, she had numerous roles in TV series like CSI, The Practice etc. She also starred in Indie and major label films. Before becoming Lola, the prosititue in Hustle & Flow, her more notables movie roles were as a sweetly incorrigible badass in Crazy/Beautiful which saw her on-screen beside childhood acquaintance Dunst. She also starred oposite Britney Spears in Crossroads, and played beside Eminem in 8 Mile.

Jam-packed full of attitude, this husky voiced babe is set to make more waves in the coming years. Trust me! At the rate that Taryn is going, she is definitely going to be the next babe!

Namie Amuro is the undisputed idol of Japanese music. There have been worthy challengers like Ayumi Hamasaki and Utada Hikaru. But none have been able to come close to the style influence and iconic sex symbol, and selling power of my favourite 3/4 Japanese, 1/4 Italian, baby-faced diva!

Namie and school friends formed the pop group, Super Monkeys, at the tender age of 15 and achieved moderate success. She soon embarked on a solo career, exploding onto the Japanese music scene with 'Body Feels EXIT', with the aid of legendary Japanese producer Tetsuya Komuro . From then, every single Tetsuya Komuro produced for Amuro became a major hit ranking high on the charts.

Namie has worked with various producers, most notably Tetsuya Komuro and American producer Dallas Austin. She has also collaborated with JPop heavyweights like Ayumi Hamasaki, Koda Kumi, BoA as solo arist and also under the psuedonym, SUITE CHIC project.

Namie's star power is evident at the crazed sold out concerts everywhere she goes. Whether it is Korea, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore or in Japan. She is Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey combined on the stage. Namie has always cited Janet Jackson as her idol, and the similarities show in their stage performance. As of this writing, Namie is reclaiming her throne with a successful album 'Queen of Hip-Pop' debuting at #2 and charting with her highest debut sales peak in 3 years. She has nine #1 singles, five of which have sold over 1,000,000 copies.

The pop icon image aside, Namie is absoutely an endearing example of the human condition. Following the tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia, Namie participated as the only Japanese representative at MTV Asia Aid. She would secretly donate approxiamtely 90,000USD to UNICEF for children who were affected by the disaster.

She also scores babe bonus points for sporting the prettiest tattoos. She has four tattoos. Two are located near her wrist on her left arm and the other two are located on her upper right arm. The two on the right arm are dedicated to family members. One tattoo reads her son's name while the other is a tribute to her slain mother. She got her first tattoo during a trip to Jamaica in 1996. It is a barcode near her left wrist which reads her birthdate "19770920." Namie also sports a silver belly button ring!

Talk about a babe! I think we've struck gold! Shania hails from my hometown, Timmins - the city with a heart of gold. The city was so proud that when she came home, we made the biggest deal out of it, naming our busiest street, Shania Twain Way. It was also at this time, that I met Shania in person. Jealous yet?

I was in my final year of high school at Timmins High & Vocational School, and I remember being in class when there was suddenly a great commotion stirring in the hallways. The newspapers had promoted her return weeks before, but I had no idea what a wonderous sight would wander down the hallway. I was near the window, and suddenly there she was, Shania Twain in all her glory, wearing a pink athletic ensemble, tight pants, small top. She walked by the class. Afterwards, I heard that she was intending to visit an old english teacher. She looked much shorter in person than I had imagined in real life. But what a treat! I've always told this story, and will always remember it!

Why would I make a fuss over such a trivial incident. Come on, turning the entire country music scene upside down is not enough? Overnight, she single-handedly introduced country music to a brand new audience. Of course, some flocked over simply because she was gorgeous, but she had substance behind the eye candy. An absolute singing diva who has time and time again turned out hit after hit.

The one thing I like about her compared to other babes that are featured on this site is the fact that there hasn't been one single person, who has had anything negative to criticize about her, not one! Her beauty is unanimous, her talent unlimited. And I simple dig music chicks who know how to rock a good show on the stage!

Growing up in the cold north, she looks like the perfect ski-chalet babe. She can pull off looking like a dominatrix, and she is classical elegance in an evening gown. If I worked at Webster's or some other dictionary company, I would put Shania's picture beside the definition for woman. Better known simply as Aaliyah, the girl with the bangs covering one eye became an R&B sensation at a tender young age. I first noticed Aaliyah on her first album 'Age Ain't Nothin' But A Number'. I remembered seeing a spunky sporty looking tomboy who wore her pants low to show her underwear, but singing with an angelic voice from the heavens. If that did not speak babe to me, then I don't know what is!

Early in her career, she was romantically linked to R Kelly, the man who hooked her up in the business. In my opinion, she certainly got to know better company after hooking up with producer extrordinares, Timbaland and Missy 'Misdemeanor' Elliot. Her sophomore album, 'One In A Million', is also my favourite and is really her breakthrough album to show everyone she was for real.

Nicknamed by her crew as 'BabyGirl'. She exemplified all that was good about girls, but yet she was tough and streetwise. Her real name sounding so blissful, is also very meaningful; and translated from Arabic means "highly exalted" or "to ascend". The emergence of her popularity has catapulted this name to its most popular period of all time. Visited the 'Name Voyager' to see the proof! I am also considering naming my future daughter Aaliyah when she is born. It would be wonderful if my daughter grew up to be a babe like Aaliyah in personality and beauty. So how can Aaliyah not be a babe, if I want to name my daughter after her?

Aaliyah aspired to be multi-dimensional. She started entertaining thoughts of acting, and got her start opposite Jet Li in 'Romeo Must Die'. She also had a leading role in 'Queen Of The Damned'. Aaliyah's music has always been a true reflection of her soul. Her acting was well received by critics and fans, and she always contributed herself to these projects by participating in the soundtracks.

Some of my personal favourites are 'If Your Girl Only Knew', 'Hot Like Fire', 'Are you That Somebody', 'Try Again', 'More Than A Woman' and too many others to mention. She also was a student of music, and enjoyed remaking classics like The Isley Brother's 'At Your Best (You Are Loved)' and her own take of The Hue's Coroporation's 'Rock The Boat'.

Prior to her premature departure from this realm, Aaliyah was seeing Damon Dash, the CEO of Rockafella Records. She had flowered into a true woman, and her image and music reflected that. She died during a plan crash, while coming home from the Bahamas for a music video shoot for her last recorded album 'Aaliyah'. The news came particular hard for her fanbase who came out in huge support to express their gratitude.

Another angel has ascended to the heavens, but what she has given to us is immeasurable. Aaliyah, at your best, you are loved and will will always be!
